Jeffrey Howard is Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of Texas at San Antonio. As a health demographer and epidemiologist, his research interests include traumatic injury and chronic disease epidemiology, accelerated aging, racial/ethnic health disparities, and environmental disaster health impacts. He has authored and co-authored over 100 research articles on topics including racial/ethnic health and mortality disparities, trauma and its relationship to accelerated aging, and excess mortality following environmental disasters. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Demography from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and an MA and BA in Sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington.
