My name is Dimah Zaki, and I am a junior majoring in Biology at UTSA. Coming from an immigrant family, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by underserved communities, particularly the barriers created by language differences in healthcare. My experiences have shaped my commitment to becoming a pharmacist and addressing these gaps in communication that often prevent patients from receiving proper care. I am part of the UTSA Pathways Research Program, where I am exploring solutions to improve patient education and healthcare accessibility. I am eager to contribute to bridging these gaps and fostering equitable healthcare solutions through education and outreach.
